Mikki's Puppies
Mikki gave birth to a litter of 4 boys and 4 girls on March 20th. Mother and puppies are all doing well.
The sire of the litter is show champion Rocheby Statesman. Both parents have excellent hip scores and have produced wonderful puppies in the past. Genetic tests also ensure that all the puppies can never be affected by prcd-PRA and Exercise Induced Collapse.

Day 1
The new puppies have arrived - 4 girls and 4 boys. Mikki is already doting on her brood, making sure that all the puppies are well looked after. |

Another good week, as the puppies continue to grow rapidly. |

The puppies eyes have now opened and they are getting much more active and becomign aware of other goings on around them. |

Day 35
The puppies are now enjoying some soft puppy food to supplement Mikkis milk. |
|

Mikki, like all my dogs, lives inside the house. She has a wonderful, caring, gentle temperament and loves the attention, and affection of people. Outside, in the park, she is a keen explorer and an enthusiastic play mate with other dogs.
Mikki has got excellent health test results, with a hip score of 1:1, elbow score 0, clear eye certificate, genetically clear of both prcd-PRA and EIC.
Since her last litter in 2011, Mikki has enjoyed more success in the show ring and has been awarded a Show Certificate of Merit . She has also been awarded a Stud Book Number (2065CX) as a result of her performances in Championship Shows.
Of course, Mikki is primarily a much loved pet who is simply a joy to live with.

The puppies sire is Sonny, or Show Champion Rocheby Statesman to give him his full name. He is bred and owned by David & Marion Hopkinson who are celebrating 50 years of breeding labradors this year! Dogs from the Rocheby kennel all very well represented in the breeding of Mikki's father, Show Champion Suttonpark Manifesto.
For a number of years I have admired puppies in the show ring that have been sired by Statesman, and watched them develop into wonderful dogs. With Mikki's pedigree offering such a good match, I am really looking forward to a wonderful litter of puppies.
